Duties

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on HVAC systems, including air conditioning units and mechanical systems using schematics and technical manuals.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair building automation systems (BAS) to optimize climate control and energy management.
• Interpret electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and conduct electrical repairs or adjustments as needed.
• Diagnose issues with refrigeration systems and perform necessary repairs adhering to safety standards.
• Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and reports to document all activities accurately.

Skills

• Extensive construction experience with mechanical systems installation and repair.
• Proven service technician experience with HVAC systems in commercial or industrial settings.
• Strong understanding of schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design principles.
• Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS) for climate control optimization.
• Proficiency in electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting using specialized tools like ohmmeters.
• Experience with refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration units.
• Mechanical knowledge covering system repair, boiler operation, plumbing integration, welding techniques, and property maintenance.
• Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications such as HVAC licenses are highly desirable.
• Ability to operate equipment repair tools safely and efficiently; experience with welding is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license suitable for operating company vehicles.
