Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HVAC Superintendent to lead and oversee all aspects of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration projects. This role is vital in ensuring the successful installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems across diverse commercial and industrial settings. Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise HVAC installation, repair, and maintenance projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion within scope and budget.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to plan work schedules and allocate resources effectively.
• Oversee the installation of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems.
• Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot mechanical systems including pumps, valves, and ductwork.
• Conduct detailed inspections of schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design documents to ensure precise execution of work.
• Manage service technician teams performing routine maintenance, emergency repairs, and system upgrades on HVAC/R equipment.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations such as EPA standards for refrigerants and local building codes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of service reports, maintenance logs, and project progress updates.
• Support customer service efforts by addressing client concerns promptly and professionally while providing technical guidance.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction or HVAC service technician roles with a strong understanding of mechanical systems repair and installation.
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC schematics, electrical diagnostics, refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration where applicable.
• Hands-on experience with HVAC design principles, building automation systems, plumbing connections, electrical systems, and boiler operation.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and electronic diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical issues.
• Ability to read technical drawings accurately and interpret schematics for complex mechanical system repairs.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively while maintaining safety standards on-site.
• Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in HVAC/R or electrical diagnostics are preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to resolving issues efficiently.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience as a van driver is advantageous.

Pay: $42.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
