What they need

Tired of service calls where speed matters more than doing it right?

Want to fix the problem, treat people well, and go home knowing your work mattered?

Want a team that respects your craft instead of treating you like a number?

If so, keep reading.

What You'll Do

  • Diagnose and repair residential split systems, heat pumps, packaged units, and furnaces

  • Perform seasonal maintenance and tune-ups on maintenance-agreement customers

  • Handle refrigerant recovery, charging, and leak detection per EPA 608 requirements

  • Troubleshoot electrical components, control boards, thermostats, and ductwork issues

  • Explain findings to homeowners in plain language and present repair options honestly

  • Complete job documentation, photos, and invoicing in the field on a company tablet

  • Rotate through on-call coverage [frequency, e.g., one week every six]

What We're Looking For

Required

  • 2–5 years of hands-on residential HVAC service experience

  • Active EPA Section 608 certification (Type II or Universal)

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

  • Comfort working in attics, crawlspaces, and on rooftops in summer heat

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet through a full service day

  • Strong customer-facing communication — you're the face of the company in someone's home

Who We Are

At Olson Superior, this is more than another HVAC job. You're joining a family built on decades of experience, top-notch customer service, and quality workmanship.

As an HVAC Tech here, you'll help deliver unexpected care. That's important if you want your work to mean more than closing tickets.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll enter customers' homes, find the real problem, and fix it with skill and honesty. No overselling. Diagnose accurately, explain clearly, and do right by the homeowner.

This is residential service work where small details matter. Treat each home like your own, handle the unpaid extras that leave a lasting impression, and leave customers feeling cared for, not sold to.

The best days end with trust earned. Own your work, own your mistakes before anyone catches them, and build a reputation that has homeowners asking for you by name.

The Hiring Process

We hire rigorously but move fast for the right person. You could be hired in as little as 10 days. Because we've had strong interest, the first steps are automated so you can be considered quickly.

If you apply, we will respond to 100% of applicants.

The process:

  • Click apply and answer a few Who, What, When questions. (5 min)
  • You'll get a text with a 10-minute questionnaire to help match you to this job or others that may fit.
  • You'll receive a text for a quick 1-way video question. (5 min)
  • We'll send a link to schedule an in-person interview.
  • You could interview within a couple days of applying.

What You'll Earn

This is a full-time role of 40 to 50 hours per week.

Why Work With Us

You'll join a team that leads with CARE: Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence. That shows up in how teammates treat each other and how they care for customers' homes.

  • Medical
  • Dental
  • Vision
  • Life Insurance Policies
  • Accrue Vacation PTO
  • 401(k)

This isn't for someone who cuts corners, blames others, or treats customer service like a script. It is for someone who goes above and beyond and takes real pride in workmanship.

Who We're Looking For

You'll likely thrive here if you're a residential service tech known for honest diagnoses, steady follow-through, and respect in every home you enter.

  • You have 2 to 5 years of residential service tech experience
  • You have an EPA card
  • You diagnose well enough that you don't need to oversell
  • You treat a customer's home the way you'd want your own treated
  • You do the small things others skip
  • You own mistakes quickly and fix them
  • You care about leaving customers impressed enough to ask for you by name
  • You should not apply if accountability, compassion, respect, and excellence aren't how you naturally work

If you're ready for a place where great work and genuine care still matter, apply now. The right tech won't stay available for long.

Requirements

  • Work Hours: 40 to 50 hours work
  • Required Education: High school or equivalent
  • Required Experience: Mid level(2) years
