HVAC Technician (Aircon Technician)

Key Responsibilities

• Install, set up, and commission various HVAC and air-conditioning systems, including split-type, window-type, and commercial units.
• Carry out routine preventive maintenance by inspecting, cleaning, testing, and servicing HVAC equipment to maintain efficiency and reliable performance.
• Identify faults and perform repairs on electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration-related components of HVAC systems.
• Test and evaluate system performance after installation, servicing, or repairs to ensure proper operation and compliance with safety standards.
• Interpret technical drawings, wiring schematics, and equipment manuals to complete installations and repairs accurately.
• Follow established safety procedures and ensure the proper use and handling of tools, equipment, and refrigerants.
• Complete service documentation, maintenance records, and reports for all work performed.
• Explain basic system operation and provide customers with practical maintenance tips to help extend equipment life.
• Respond promptly to service requests and resolve technical issues while delivering quality customer service.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or holder of a Technical/Vocational certificate in HVAC, Refrigeration, Electrical Technology, or a related discipline.
• TESDA RAC NC II or NC III certification is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Minimum of 1–3 years of practical experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Hands-on experience with split-type, window-type, and commercial air-conditioning systems is preferred.
• Good understanding of HVAC principles, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, and refrigerant management.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of occupational safety practices and standard HVAC service procedures.
• Effective communication skills with a customer-oriented approach.
• Physically capable of handling equipment, climbing ladders, and working in both indoor and outdoor environments.
• Willing to render overtime, perform field assignments, and work on-call schedules when business needs require.
