HVAC TECHNICIAN

We are seeking a motivated and skilled HVAC Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical systems. Responsibilities

• Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems following schematics and design specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
• Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot electrical systems within HVAC/R units.
• Repair or replace defective mechanical components, including compressors, fans, motors, valves, and plumbing fixtures.
• Conduct comprehensive system inspections to identify potential issues before they escalate into costly repairs or failures.
• Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports for all performed tasks.
• Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair procedures, provide maintenance recommendations, and ensure satisfaction.

Skills

• Proven construction experience with knowledge of mechanical systems installation and repair.
• Service technician experience with HVAC systems including air conditioning, refrigeration, boilers, and building automation systems.
• Strong understanding of schematics, electrical diagnostics, plumbing, and HVAC design principles.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting.
• Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC/R equipment repair and maintenance practices.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately for system diagnostics and repairs.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and professionalism.
• Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in electrical or mechanical systems are a plus.
• Experience operating vans or service trucks safely as a van driver when required.

Pay: $34.28 - $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
