In this hands-on role, you will work alongside experienced senior technicians on large-tonnage chiller systems, including centrifugal, screw, and scroll machines in water-cooled and air-cooled applications. No prior chiller experience is required—we provide comprehensive on-the-job training, mentorship, and certification support for individuals with strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to build a meaningful career in the HVAC industry. This position will report through our Valley View, Ohio office location.

Responsibilities

• Work with the team leader, project manager, and customer to understand job requirements, prepare materials, and coordinate on-site work.
• Serve as a professional point of contact for customers while supporting installation, service, and repair work at customer locations.
• Assist senior technicians with chiller start-up and commissioning activities, including inspections of piping, valves, strainers, and safety guards.
• Record operating data from chiller control systems, including temperatures, pressures, amperage, and oil levels.
• Observe and assist with testing safety devices such as flow switches, low-temperature cutouts, and emergency stops.
• Support routine maintenance by helping clean condenser by wash coils, and inspect fan assemblies, refrigerant leaks and overall operational performance.
• Support troubleshooting by reviewing alarm codes, fault histories, and setting up service equipment such as recovery units, vacuum pumps, micron gauges, and leak detectors.
• Assist with replacing common mechanical and electrical components, including solenoid valves, pressure transducers, contactors, and filter-driers and compressors.

Pay: $28.64 - $44.31 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
