HVAC Technician

Position Summary

We are hiring an experienced Lead HVAC Technician to handle system diagnostics, service/repair, and installations while supervising apprentices/helpers. This role is ideal for someone who is technically strong, organized, and takes pride in doing jobs the right way.

You will be expected to work independently, lead on-site, communicate with customers clearly, and uphold company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC service calls and installations from start to finish
• Diagnose and repair residential/commercial heating and cooling systems
• Troubleshoot electrical, refrigeration, airflow, and control problems
• Install furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, A/C systems, ductwork, and accessories as needed
• Ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and up to code
• Supervise and train apprentices/helpers
• Complete service documentation, invoices, and job notes accurately
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and clean job sites
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding options and repairs
• Follow safety procedures and company quality standards

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years HVAC field experience (service and/or install)
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Ability to run a job independently and lead others
• EPA 608 Certification required
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics/basements/outdoors
• Strong customer service and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications (Plus)

• HVAC vocational/trade schooling
• NATE Certification(s)
• Experience with hydronic heat/boilers
• Experience with mini-splits, VRF/VRV, zoning, controls
• Sheet metal experience
• refrigeration/HVAC license

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
