HVAC Technician (Electrical)

We are seeking experienced HVAC Technicians with a strong electrical background to carry out installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of HVAC systems, with a particular focus on electrical controls, motors, panels, and wiring associated with air-conditioning and ventilation equipment in commercial and facility environments in Qatar.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on split units, package units, FCUs, AHUs, chillers, exhaust and ventilation systems
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults in HVAC equipment: control circuits, contactors, relays, capacitors, thermostats, sensors, VFDs, and motor circuits
• Perform electrical testing (continuity, insulation, load and current measurements) using multimeters and clamp meters
• Install, terminate and dress control and power wiring for HVAC equipment in line with drawings and Kahramaa regulations
• Support BMS-related fault finding and coordinate with the BMS/controls team
• Carry out refrigerant charging, leak detection and basic mechanical servicing where required
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, job cards and PPM checklists
• Comply with permit-to-work, LOTO and site HSE requirements at all times

Qualifications and Experience

• ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning (RAC) or equivalent trade qualification
• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on HVAC maintenance experience, of which at least 2 years in the GCC (Qatar preferred)
• Proven ability to read electrical schematics, control drawings and wiring diagrams
• Working knowledge of R-22, R-410A and R-32 systems and manifold gauge operation
• Familiarity with Qatar Kahramaa electrical standards and QCS requirements is an advantage
• Willingness to work in shifts, on-call rotation and outdoor conditions where required
• Good command of English (spoken and written); Arabic or Hindi/Urdu is an advantage
• Strong commitment to health, safety and environment (HSE) practices
• Available for immediate joining – preference will be given to candidates currently in Qatar with a transferable visa / NOC
