HVAC Technician Trainee/Apprentice

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated HVAC Technician Trainee/Apprentice to join our team. Duties

• Assist senior technicians with installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units and boilers
• Learn to interpret schematics and HVAC design plans for various projects
• Support service technician activities such as troubleshooting and diagnosing system issues using tools like ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment
• Participate in plumbing and refrigeration tasks, including ammonia refrigeration systems when applicable
• Perform basic equipment repair and maintenance tasks under supervision
• Help with welding, mechanical repairs, and property maintenance tasks as needed
• Support field service operations by traveling to job sites and assisting with system inspections and repairs
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment adhering to safety protocols

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of construction, mechanical systems, or property maintenance preferred
• Experience or familiarity with service technician work, appliance repair, or HVAC systems is a plus
• Ability to read schematics and understand HVAC design concepts
• Mechanical knowledge related to refrigeration, air conditioning, boilers, and equipment repair
• Field service experience or willingness to learn on-the-job skills in a dynamic environment
• Valid driver’s license required for travel between job sites
• Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems is advantageous but not mandatory
• Basic welding skills or experience with equipment repair is beneficial
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to follow technical instructions accurately
• Willingness to learn about HVAC/R systems, plumbing, electrical components, and maintenance procedures
