HVAC Service & Installation Technician

Harrys Heating & Cooling is a small, owner-operated HVAC company that is growing, and I’m looking to add an experienced HVAC technician to the team.

I handle residential and light-commercial HVAC work throughout New York City and Northern New Jersey, including service calls, repairs, maintenance, troubleshooting, and installations.

I’m looking for someone who can work independently, diagnose problems correctly, communicate professionally with customers, and take pride in their work. This is a good opportunity for someone who wants to join a smaller company and grow with it rather than just be another employee at a large operation.

Pay & Compensation

• $25–$35 per hour, depending on experience and ability

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair HVAC equipment
• Perform residential and light-commercial service calls
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, airflow, and refrigeration issues
• Perform preventative maintenance
• Install and replace HVAC equipment
• Work on split systems, rooftop units, furnaces, heat pumps, mini-splits, and related equipment
• Communicate clearly with customers about equipment issues and recommended repairs
• Keep the company vehicle, tools, and job sites organized
• Complete jobs professionally and efficiently without constant supervision

Qualifications

• Previous HVAC service and/or installation experience
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently
• Experience with residential and light-commercial HVAC systems
• Refrigeration experience is a plus
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable and professional
• Good communication and customer-service skills
