HVAC Trim-Out Lead Technician

The Trim-Out Lead Technician is responsible for overseeing the final phase of HVAC installation in new residential construction. This phase typically takes place after drywall and painting are complete and involves installing & connecting the system’s final components to ensure proper operation and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, mount, and connect HVAC equipment, including indoor air handlers, outdoor condensing units, thermostats, and zoning systems.
• Install indoor air quality (IAQ) products and accessories, including specialty filter racks, UV lights, and other approved system enhancements.
• Install and align supply and return grilles and registers to ensure proper airflow and a professional finished appearance.
• Complete refrigerant piping connections, braze copper refrigerant lines where required, and finish condensate drain line installations.
• Identify and address installation deficiencies before the job is considered complete.
• Lead, train, and supervise apprentice technicians and helpers on the job site.
• Ensure all work meets applicable building codes, manufacturer specifications, and company quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate with other team members to ensure installations are completed accurately, efficiently, and according to schedule.
