HVAC/R Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and certified HVAC-R Technician to join our growing team. As part of our new company under the BC Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP). This role focuses on the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial HVAC-R systems, as well as participation in the manufacturing and assembly of commercial refrigeration condensing units at our facility. You will work with a variety of commercial HVAC-R equipment and tools, ensuring systems are built, installed, and maintained to the highest standards of safety and performance.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC-R systems, including refrigeration and condensing units.
• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on commercial heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems, providing effective repair solutions.
• Participate in the manufacturing, assembly, and testing of commercial refrigeration condensing units within our facility.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation related to commercial HVAC-R systems and manufacturing processes.
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to prevent equipment failures.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards, codes, and regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to fabricate, build, and weld components as necessary for installations and manufacturing.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and colleagues regarding service needs and project updates.

Requirements

• Canadian Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizen status (mandatory to meet BCPNP program requirements).
• Proven experience as a commercial HVAC-R Technician, ideally with exposure to both field service and manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical skills with knowledge of refrigeration, electrical, and commercial HVAC systems.
• Experience working with commercial refrigeration systems, including walk-in coolers, freezers, and condensing units.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals effectively.
• Welding and fabrication experience related to HVAC-R installations or manufacturing is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a commitment to safety and quality.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$52.00 per hour
