HVAC/R SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Pay: Starting at $30 per hour

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and industrial HVAC/R equipment.
• Diagnose problems and identify the true root cause.
• Communicate with customers regarding repairs, quotes, and preventative maintenance.
• Recommend solutions that improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
• Work independently while collaborating with Dispatch and other technicians.

REQUIREMENTS

• 1+ year of HVAC/R service, maintenance, and troubleshooting experience OR trade school/apprenticeship experience
• Commercial or industrial HVAC/R experience preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to learn and grow
• Valid driver's license
• EPA HVAC/R certification is a plus
• HVAC/R or Refrigeration certification is a plus
• Ability to read electrical schematics and drawings is a plus
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent
• Must pass a background check and drug screen

ESSENTIAL DUTIES MAY INCLUDE

Learn C&L Refrigeration's procedures, safety standards, and Ascente Mobile Pro while gaining hands-on experience alongside experienced technicians. Progress from basic maintenance on smaller equipment to independently servicing, diagnosing, and repairing 1–15 ton HVAC/R systems while maintaining accurate documentation, proper van inventory, customer communication, and compliance with all safety standards.

As your technical skills develop, take on 20–40 ton equipment, handle service calls independently, identify preventative maintenance opportunities, and provide solutions that build customer trust. Maintain a high level of professionalism, preparation, and technical problem-solving while supporting, training, and mentoring fellow technicians and new team members.

IMPORTANT

Regular travel throughout the Northern California territory is required based on customer and service needs.

Pay: $30.00 - $60.00 per hour
