Summary Job Summary (List Format) Data Engineering Lead:

• Position: Data Engineering Lead (Hands-on role)
• Location: Hybrid onsite in Green Bay, WI; Boston, MA; Louisville, KY; Dallas/Frisco, TX; or Ft. Lauderdale, FL (Candidates must be local to one of these locations)
• Duration: 3+ months, contract-to-hire
• Interview: Video interview

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a hands-on technical lead for a small Scrum team, remaining deeply engaged in technical tasks.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers; collaborate closely with other technical leads and business stakeholders.
• Design, build, and optimize Databricks data pipelines from scratch within a cloud environment.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, provide direction, and support development activities as needed.
• Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Act as the team s primary technical resource and subject matter expert.

Required Skills & Expertise

• 10 15+ years of overall experience, including 5+ years in a technical lead capacity.
• Strong, hands-on experience with Databricks, including:
• Databricks performance and optimization techniques
• Liquid clustering and partitioning strategies
• Building end-to-end data pipelines and ingesting data from source systems
• Creating and maintaining data products, including gold-layer products used by business teams
• Excellent leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.
• Comfortable discussing and implementing Databricks best practices.
