Hybrid Kitchen/Counter Position

Overview

Hybrid Position - It's not electric/gas but front of house/back of house. This position can be filled by one person who desires flexible responsiblities or two people who require staying in their lane. Must be reliable, responsible & punctual. Either way it works for you and us we are willing to consider either 2 part time or 1 full time postition. We do ask that you are able to spell and do math and present yourself in a responsible business manner.

Here is what we need:

Monday and Tuesday mornings - 8am arrival to help out with daily kitchen prep - mainly preparing cold side items, dishwashing, helping to put away the delivery from our purveyor and getting the cold case ready. Preparing the dining area for opening and then operating the counter service once we open at 11. Here we do have some options - stay until 3 when someone else comes in to close or work right on through to 7pm, out the door by 7:30pm.

Wednesday and Thursday afternoons - 3pm arrival - kitchen work - prepare plates for dine in as well as to go orders, clean up after yourself and close the kitchen. Closing at 7 and out the door by 7:30pm

Sunday - 10:30 arrival - kitchen work -prepare plates for dine in as well as to go orders, clean up after yourself and close the kitchen. Closing at 6pm and out the door by 6:30pm

• Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring freshness and presentation.
• Operate POS system.
• Manage food service customer orders from start to finish, including taking orders, processing payments, and handling cash register operations.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and upselling additional products to enhance sales.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to sanitation standards, food safety protocols, and proper food handling procedures.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers, and other culinary tools.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments is highly preferred but not required, we will train the right person/people.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding customer service with a friendly attitude.
• Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely while maintaining sanitation standards.
• Food industry or café experience is desirable but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued.
• Come to work in clean clothes and looking professional.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
