CTS Group is expanding its engineering team in Porto and is looking for Hydraulic Engineers to work on large-scale Data Center and industrial projects across EMEA.

Open Positions

Junior Hydraulic Engineer | 3–5 Years

• Support hydraulic system design, calculations, flow analysis and pipe sizing.
• Assist with hydraulic modelling, technical drawings and engineering documentation.
• Support fire suppression, sprinkler and suppression piping design.
• Assist with installation, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams including HVAC, electrical and structural engineering.

Intermediate Hydraulic Engineer | 6–10 Years

• Independently design and analyse hydraulic and fire protection systems.
• Prepare hydraulic calculations, flow/pressure analysis, pipe sizing and technical documentation.
• Develop hydraulic models and simulations using EPANET, HEC-RAS or similar tools .
• Design fire suppression systems including sprinklers, water curtains and specialised piping networks.
• Ensure designs comply with EN 12845, NFPA 13, NFPA/VdS , and relevant regulations.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary BIM and engineering teams and support project delivery.

Senior Hydraulic Engineer | 10+ Years

• Lead hydraulic design, calculations, modelling and technical delivery for major Data Center and industrial projects.
• Provide technical review/sign-off and oversee engineering deliverables.
• Lead fire suppression design and complex hydraulic networks.
• Ensure compliance with applicable international standards, regulations and safety requirements.
• Lead multidisciplinary coordination with HVAC, electrical, structural and BIM teams.
• Provide technical solutions, client-facing support and mentor junior/intermediate engineers.

Common Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Water Resources or related Engineering discipline .
• Strong knowledge of fluid mechanics and hydraulic design principles .
• Experience with EPANET, HEC-RAS or similar hydraulic modelling tools .
• Experience with hydraulic calculations, technical drawings and engineering reports.
• Knowledge of EN 12845 and NFPA 13 ; exposure to LEED/BREEAM is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering environments.
