Position Summary:

Resource Staffing Solutions (RSS) is looking for a detail-oriented Hydraulic Estimator to join our growing team. If you have experience estimating hydraulic and plumbing projects, enjoy working with technical drawings, and have a keen eye for detail, we'd love to hear from you!

What You'll Do

• Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to determine the scope of hydraulic and plumbing works.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor services.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.
• Liaise with clients to clarify project requirements, complete pricing schedules, and provide professional advice on project costs and feasibility.
• Identify potential project risks and incorporate appropriate contingencies into project estimates.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, contracts, and project correspondence.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure estimates are comprehensive and accurate.
• Stay up to date with market trends, supplier pricing, and industry developments to deliver competitive estimates.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Hydraulic Estimator, Plumbing Estimator, or in a similar estimating role.
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, hydraulic plans, and technical specifications.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with estimating software is highly regarded.
• Previous experience supporting Australian construction projects is highly desirable.
