**- Flexible hours

• Highly competitive hourly rate
• Enjoy variety, independence & a supportive team environment**

Are you practical, mechanically minded and enjoy getting out and about rather than being stuck in a workshop all day?

Wanaka Hose & Hydraulics is looking for a Hydraulic Hose Technician to join our friendly team and provide mobile Hydraulink hydraulic hose and fittings services to customers throughout the Wanaka region.

Whether you're already experienced in hydraulics or have a hands-on background and are keen to learn something new, we'd love to hear from you!

This is a varied, field-based role where you'll operate a fully equipped service truck, travelling to customer sites to diagnose problems, carry out repairs and get equipment back up and running.

You'll enjoy the freedom of working independently, meeting different people and tackling new challenges, with the backing of a supportive team and plenty of training along the way.

What you'll be doing:

• Attending customer breakdowns and scheduled service jobs
• Diagnosing hydraulic hose issues and providing practical solutions
• Making, repairing and replacing hydraulic hoses on-site
• Keeping your mobile service truck stocked, organised and ready to go
• Completing job records and maintaining safe working practices
• Building positive relationships through great customer service

What we're looking for

We're more interested in finding the right person with a great attitude than someone who ticks every box.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• A practical, hands-on approach and good problem-solving skills
• Mechanical or hydraulic hose experience would be an advantage, but isn't essential
• Confidence working independently and dealing with customers
• A willingness to learn and take pride in doing a job well
• The ability to carry out physical work in outdoor environments
• A full NZ Class 1 driver's licence (Class 2 would be a bonus)

You'll also need to have the legal right to work in New Zealand.

What's in it for you?:

• Highly competitive hourly pay based on your experience
• Permanent employment with flexible working hours available
• Full training and ongoing support to develop your skills
• Fully funded Class 2 licence training for the right person, if required
• Fully equipped mobile service truck, smartphone, uniform and PPE
• A friendly, close-knit team who will have your back
• The chance to work across a beautiful part of New Zealand

If you're looking for a hands-on career with variety, independence and the opportunity to develop valuable technical skills, this could be just what you're after.

Experienced technician or keen learner, we'd love to hear from you.
