Hydraulic Technician

We are seeking a skilled and meticulous Hydraulic Technician to join our workshop team. In this position, you will be responsible for indoor hydraulic operations, including hose assembly fabrication, fitting identification, precision crimping, testing, and operating workshop machinery. The ideal candidate possesses deep technical knowledge of hydraulic components and standards, works efficiently with toolroom equipment, and can deliver accurate solutions tailored to customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Workshop Operations & Assembly

• Fabricate, assemble, and repair high-pressure hydraulic hose assemblies according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
• Safely and proficiently operate workshop machinery, including hydraulic crimping machines, hose cutting machines, skiving machines, grinders, and general toolroom equipment.
• Maintain high productivity and accuracy while adhering to strict quality control and safety guidelines within the indoor workshop.

Component Identification & Customer Support

• Accurately identify a wide range of hydraulic fittings, threads, flanges, adapters, and hoses (e.g., BSP, NPT, JIC, ORFS, Metric, DIN, Flange standards) based on customer samples or technical specifications.
• Measure and inspect incoming components using precision calipers, thread pitch gauges, and angle templates to ensure proper match and compatibility.

Testing & Quality Control

• Perform hydro-testing, proof pressure testing, and flushing processes on completed hose assemblies to ensure zero leakage and structural integrity.
• Inspect finished products for defects, improper crimp diameters, skive lengths, or assembly errors prior to customer delivery.
• Maintain detailed test records and compliance documentation as required.

Maintenance & Housekeeping

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and calibration checks on workshop tools, cutting blades, dies, and crimping equipment.
• Keep the workshop environment clean, organized, and compliant with occupational health and safety standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in indoor hydraulic workshop operations.
• Technical Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of hydraulic hoses, fittings, crimping specifications, skiving procedures, and pressure testing protocols.
• Fitting Knowledge: Exceptional ability to identify all global types and thread standards of hydraulic fittings based on physical samples or customer specifications.
• Machine Operation: Proven proficiency in operating crimping machines, hose cutters, skiving machines, bench grinders, and common shop tools.
• Detail-Oriented: Precision in using measuring tools (digital calipers, thread gauges) and interpreting crimp specification charts.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to handle heavy hose bundles, stand for extended periods, and perform physical workshop tasks safely.

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
