Hydraulic Technician

ALH is looking for a Hydraulic Sales & Service Technician to join a New Plymouth-based team. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity offering guaranteed 40 hours per week.
You'll work on hydraulic hoses and fittings, provide mobile service, and support general engineering tasks when needed.

What you'll be doing

• Diagnose and repair hydraulic hoses, fittings, and assemblies.
• Provide on-site service and breakdown support across the greater New Plymouth region.
• Proactively call on customers to maintain and grow the business's services.
• Participate in an on-call service roster, with an extra allowance.
• Assist with mechanical engineering work in the workshop during downtime.

What we're looking for

• Mechanical or engineering experience, or a strong mechanical aptitude.
• Strong fault-finding skills and confidence repairing hydraulic hoses and fittings.
• A customer-first, sales-minded approach with the ability to grow opportunities.
• A full, clean driver's licence and the ability to work autonomously.
• A valid NZ work visa or legal right to work in New Zealand.
