Job Summary

SCADA Industries (Pvt.) Ltd. is seeking skilled and safety-conscious Hydrogen Compressor Operators to operate, monitor, and maintain hydrogen compression equipment and associated systems. The successful candidates will ensure safe and efficient operations, maintain operating parameters within approved limits, and promptly report equipment abnormalities.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor hydrogen compressors in accordance with approved operating procedures and manufacturer instructions.
• Monitor operating parameters, including pressure, temperature, flow rate, vibration, and compressor performance.
• Perform pre-startup checks and routine inspections of compressors, valves, pipelines, gauges, and associated auxiliary equipment.
• Check for hydrogen leaks and abnormal operating conditions using approved detection equipment and procedures.
• Maintain operating logs, pressure readings, equipment checklists, and shift handover records.
• Coordinate with the production, maintenance, and safety teams for routine inspections, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
• Report unusual noise, vibration, temperature changes, pressure fluctuations, leaks, and equipment malfunctions immediately.
• Follow permit-to-work procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and site-specific emergency response procedures where applicable.
• Ensure that safety interlocks, alarms, ventilation, and gas detection systems are functioning as required.
• Maintain housekeeping and comply with company safety, health, and environmental requirements.
• Respond to equipment alarms and emergencies in accordance with approved procedures and instructions from the authorized supervisor.
• Perform other relevant operational duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements

• DAE or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or another relevant technical discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in compressor operation, gas handling, process plants, or a related industrial environment.
• Practical understanding of industrial compressors, pressure systems, valves, gauges, and basic process parameters.
• Awareness of hydrogen's flammability risks, gas-leak detection, and industrial process safety.
• Ability to maintain accurate operational records and communicate effectively during shift handovers.
• Willingness to work in an industrial plant environment and follow applicable shift schedules.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience operating hydrogen or other industrial gas compressors.
• Familiarity with reciprocating or centrifugal compressors, depending on the equipment installed.
• Basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance knowledge.
• Training in industrial safety, gas detection, permit-to-work, or emergency response.
