HydroTest & Pre commissioning engineer

• Develop and execute comprehensive hydrotesting and pre-commissioning plans, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety standards.
• Oversee the preparation and isolation of systems for hydrostatic testing, verifying integrity and preventing contamination.
• Manage the introduction of test media (water, air, nitrogen) and monitor pressure and temperature parameters during testing phases.
• Conduct thorough leak detection and system integrity checks, documenting all findings and deviations from expected results.
• Supervise the safe draining and drying of systems post-hydrotest, ensuring all residual moisture is removed to prevent corrosion.
• Coordinate and execute pre-commissioning activities, including flushing, cleaning, and inerting of process systems.
• Ensure all testing and pre-commissioning equipment is calibrated, certified, and in good working order.
• Prepare detailed test packs and handover documentation, certifying system readiness for the next project phase.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues identified during testing and pre-commissioning, collaborating with other disciplines.
• Champion safety protocols throughout all hydrotesting and pre-commissioning operations, conducting risk assessments and toolbox talks.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in hydrotesting and pre-commissioning within the oil & gas, petrochemical, or power generation industries.
• Proven expertise in developing and executing detailed test procedures and work instructions.
• Strong understanding of international codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API) relevant to pressure testing.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting P&IDs, isometric drawings, and equipment manuals.
• Certification in relevant areas such as API 510, API 570, or equivalent.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and rectify system anomalies.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical information to diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
• Physical ability to work in demanding site conditions, including confined spaces and elevated platforms.
