About the Role

We’re looking for motivated, reliable Hydrovac Operators and Class 4 or Class 5 Drivers to join our Christchurch team. This is a hands-on role with a variety of work across the South Island, including:

• Hydro excavation
• Stormwater servicing and compliance work
• Wastewater work
• Grease trap servicing
• Vacuum loading
• Drain cleaning and water blasting
• CCTV drain inspections
• Spill response and emergency work
• Support for confined space work

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum Class 4 licence (Class 4L considered); Class 5 highly regarded
• An adventurous spirit and willingness to take on varied work across the South Island
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Reliability, motivation and punctuality
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Practical thinking and sound judgement
• A strong focus on safety
• Physical fitness and a willingness to get stuck into hands-on work
• Experience in hydro excavation, drainage, CCTV, vacuum trucks, civil works, infrastructure or a related industry is preferred

Pre-Employment Requirements

Successful applicants must:

• Pass a Ministry of Justice (MOJ) background check – Please note the Clean Slate Act does not apply to this role
• Pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
• Be subject to random drug and alcohol testing throughout employment
• Have full rights to work in New Zealand
• Be physically fit and capable of carrying out hands-on work duties
