Hydrovac Operator

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Hydrovac Operator to join our team. This role involves performing excavation tasks using hydrovac technology to support various construction, maintenance, and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have proven hydrovac experience, hold a valid Class B CDL with tanker endorsement, and be willing to work flexible hours, including some overnight shifts. The Hydrovac Operator will be responsible for safely and efficiently executing excavation operations while maintaining a high standard of safety and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Operate hydrovac equipment to perform precise excavation tasks in accordance with project specifications and safety standards.
• Conduct excavation activities, including digging, trenching, and potholing, using hydrovac technology to expose underground utilities or prepare sites for construction.
• Self-regulate work schedules to accommodate customer needs, which may include working long hours and overnight shifts as required.
• Ensure all operations are conducted safely, adhering to company policies and industry regulations.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on hydrovac equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding project progress and any safety concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any issues or incidents promptly.

Requirements

• Proven hydrovac experience is essential.
• Minimum Class B CDL license with tanker endorsement is required.
• Safety-minded approach with a strong commitment to following safety protocols at all times.
• Able to work long hours, including some overnight shifts, and self-regulate schedule based on customer needs.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Physical capability to perform excavation tasks and operate heavy equipment safely.

Pay: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour
