Responsibilities

• Operate hydrovac trucks and related heavy equipment.
• Conduct utility locating to identify underground utilities before digging or excavation begins, ensuring safety and compliance with federal construction safety regulations.
• Maintain and perform routine inspections and mechanical maintenance on construction machinery to ensure optimal operation and safety standards.
• Follow all equipment safety procedures, safety regulations, and construction site protocols to prevent accidents or injuries.
• Assist with construction grading, site preparation, and excavation activities in accordance with project specifications.
• Support construction utility work by digging trenches, potholing utilities, and backfilling as needed while adhering to safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks efficiently and maintain a safe work environment on all construction sites.

Skills

• Proven experience in heavy equipment operation including hydrovacs.
• Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and maintaining construction machinery.
• Skilled in utility locating techniques using modern tools and technology.
• Valid commercial truck driving license with experience in commercial truck driving.
• Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures.
• Construction site experience with familiarity in excavation, grading, utility work, and general construction practices.
• Excellent understanding of construction utility work processes and safety standards for excavation projects.

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 80.0 per week

Work Location: In person
