Responsibilities

• Assist with dental instrument processing, sterilization procedures, and maintaining aseptic techniques to uphold infection control standards.
• Prepare and manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Take and record vital signs, medical imaging, and dental x-rays while adhering to proper safety protocols for radiation exposure.
• Manage patient management software to schedule appointments, update medical documentation, and facilitate smooth patient flow within the clinic.
• Maintain dental equipment and ensure all tools are properly sterilized, functioning correctly, and ready for use in four-handed dentistry practices.
• Support infection prevention management by following clinical confidentiality policies and implementing healthcare infection control expertise across all clinical activities.

Requirements

• Prior experience working in a dental clinic or healthcare environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures.
• Knowledge of dental equipment operation, dental sterilization procedures, and infection control practices including aseptic technique.
• Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records and documentation accurately.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with dentists, hygienists, pediatric specialists, and patients of all ages.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
