Salary: Band E (£25,168.50 - £25,490.00 FTE)

The Technician plays a key role in supporting the effective day-to-day operation of workshops and training environments. The postholder is responsible for maintaining equipment, preparing materials and resources, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and providing practical support to staff and students to enable high-quality teaching, learning, and skills development.

Key needs from you and the role;

• Experience of working in a practical, customer-focused environment with strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Sound knowledge of health and safety practices, risk assessments, equipment maintenance, and safe working procedures.

• Ability to support teaching and learning through the preparation of materials, practical teaching aids, and coaching of students in workshop skills.

• Flexible, organised, and proactive approach with basic IT skills, a commitment to safeguarding, and willingness to undertake relevant training and development.
