Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Hyperion Essbase Senior Engineer to lead critical financial planning and analysis initiatives within our IT Services division. In this pivotal role, the successful candidate will leverage over a decade of specialized expertise to manage the full lifecycle of Essbase applications, ensuring robust data integrity, seamless budgeting operations, and efficient financial forecasting. This position is essential for maintaining the stability of our financial infrastructure, overseeing complex data validation processes, and driving strategic application migrations and releases.

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain Essbase partitions, outlines, and metadata to support high-volume financial data processing.
• Coordinate production release cycles, ensuring smooth deployment of updates and managing application migration efforts.
• Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support to validate system functionality and data accuracy prior to go-live.
• Execute comprehensive backup and recovery strategies to safeguard critical financial information and ensure business continuity.
• Manage the integration of Autosys and Smart View to streamline reporting and automate data workflows.
• Oversee the use of Lifecycle Manager (LCM) for consistent application deployment across development, testing, and production environments.
• Perform rigorous data validation and reconciliation activities to guarantee the precision of budgeting and forecasting models.
• Provide technical leadership for Essbase administration tasks, including performance tuning and troubleshooting.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in IT Services, specifically focused on Hyperion Essbase technologies.
• Proven expertise in Essbase Administration, including outline management, partitioning, and security configuration.
• Deep knowledge of Financial Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting modules within the Hyperion ecosystem.
• Proficiency with Essbase Partitions, Autosys job scheduling, and Smart View for client-side reporting.
• Strong command of Lifecycle Manager (LCM) for deployment automation and version control.
• Hands-on experience with Application Migration, Production Release Coordination, and Data Validation & Reconciliation processes.
• Solid understanding of Backup & Recovery protocols specific to Essbase environments.
• Ability to manage Hyperion Shared Services and ensure optimal system performance.
