IAM Application Onboarding Engineer

A global client of ours is seeking an experienced IAM Engineer to support the onboarding and integration of business applications into their enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) ecosystem. The role focuses on understanding application access requirements, implementing integrations, and improving identity lifecycle management and access governance within a complex global environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead application onboarding into enterprise IAM platforms, from initial discovery and requirements gathering through to testing and deployment
• Work with application owners to understand authentication methods, user accounts, access rights and provisioning requirements
• Configure and maintain integrations with business applications, directories, databases and cloud platforms
• Implement and enhance provisioning, deprovisioning and Joiner, Mover, Leaver processes
• Map application roles and entitlements, supporting Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and least-privilege access
• Configure access request and approval workflows, access reviews and segregation of duties (SoD) controls
• Support account reconciliation and resolve issues with identity data, access assignments and integrations
• Coordinate integration testing, user acceptance testing and operational handover
• Maintain application onboarding documentation, technical specifications and support procedures
• Collaborate with Security, Infrastructure, Application and Compliance teams to improve onboarding processes and IAM standards

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on IAM engineering experience, including application onboarding and integration
• Proven experience integrating applications with enterprise IAM or Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) platforms
• Strong understanding of identity lifecycle management, provisioning, RBAC, access governance and SoD
• Experience gathering technical requirements and translating application access needs into IAM solutions
• Familiarity with integration technologies such as REST APIs, SCIM, LDAP, JDBC and application connectors
• Understanding of authentication and federation protocols, including SAML, OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect
• Scripting or development skills using languages such as PowerShell, Java, JavaScript or Python
• Strong troubleshooting skills across provisioning workflows, connectors and identity data
• Excellent communication skills and experience working directly with application owners and technical stakeholders
