Role & Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned IBDP Physics lessons (SL/HL) covering Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Electromagnetism, and Modern Physics.
• Facilitate hands-on laboratory experiments, ensuring safety protocols and IB scientific inquiry standards are met.
• Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, including IA (Internal Assessments), and provide targeted feedback.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate TOK (Theory of Knowledge) and CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) into Physics learning.
• Support students in preparing for IB external examinations through structured revision, practice papers, and individual coaching.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and professional development workshops aligned with IB philosophy.

Skills & Qualifications

• Must-Have
• IBDP Physics teaching experience (minimum 2 years)
• IB Educator Certificate or IB workshop participation
• Proficiency in IB assessment criteria (IA, Paper 1, 2, 3)
• Expertise in laboratory safety and experimental design
• Fluency in scientific inquiry and TOK integration
• Strong classroom management and differentiation skills
• Preferred
• Experience with IB Physics HL curriculum
• Familiarity with IB curriculum updates (2025+)
• Experience mentoring IB Physics students for top scores
