JOB DESCRIPTION/ REQUIREMENTS

Key Responsibilities

• Design develop and maintain DB2 stored procedures and database functions on IBM i AS400
• Optimize and tune complex SQL queries for performance and scalability
• Develop and maintain enterprise level reports using DB2 SQL and related tools
• Collaborate with business analysts and application developers to understand requirements and translate them into efficient database solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve database related issues ensuring data integrity and system reliability
• Participate in code reviews testing and deployment of database changes
• Document database objects processes and best practices

Required Skills  Experience

• 8+ years of experience with DB2 for IBM i AS400 database development
• Strong expertise in writing and optimizing stored procedures triggers and userdefined functions
• Advanced SQL skills including query tuning and performance optimization
• Experience with report development and data extraction for business intelligence
• Familiarity with IBM i AS400 system tools and utilities
• Understanding database security backup and recovery processes
• Excellent problemsolving and communication skills
• Strong experience with Operational Data Store ODS concepts and data modeling DLM is essential
• Proven ability to design and model application databases for transactional and reporting systems
