IBM i System Administrator

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced IBM i System Administrator with strong expertise in IBM AS/400 administration to manage, maintain, monitor, and support IBM i systems. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in system administration, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and ensuring system availability and stability.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and monitor IBM i (AS/400) systems.
• Perform system configuration, upgrades, patching, and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot system issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability.
• Manage user accounts, access permissions, and system security.
• Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Coordinate with infrastructure, application, and support teams to resolve incidents.
• Maintain system documentation and follow operational procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of overall relevant IT experience.
• At least 5 years of hands-on IBM AS/400 administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of IBM i operating systems and system operations.
• Experience in system monitoring, troubleshooting, backup and recovery, and performance management.
• Knowledge of IBM i security and user access administration.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willing to work on a hybrid setup in BGC, Taguig, from 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Pay: Php150,000.00 - Php180,000.00 per month
