Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced IBM Information Management System (IMS) Database professional to lead application and database-related activities. The role will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing IMS database solutions while working closely with technical and business teams to ensure reliable application performance and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and configuration of applications using IBM IMS Database.
• Design and optimize database structures to support business and application requirements.
• Analyze and resolve database-related issues and performance concerns.
• Develop and execute database queries and support data-related requirements.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and other technical teams.
• Provide technical solutions to complex database and application issues.
• Ensure projects and deliverables are completed within agreed timelines.
• Apply best practices for database design, performance, security, and maintenance.
• Support documentation, testing, and implementation activities.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to team members.

Required Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience working with IBM Information Management System (IMS) Database.
• Strong hands-on experience with IBM IMS Database.
• Solid understanding of database management concepts and structures.
• Experience designing, maintaining, and optimizing database structures.
• Proficiency in SQL and database querying.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of database security and compliance standards.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively across multiple technical teams.
