Job Description

Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to resolve high-priority incidents through advanced troubleshooting, ensure SLA compliance, analyse system performance trends, and create mitigation measures by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

I͏BM Storage Protect L3

Require 8+ years of relevant hands-on working experience in TSM backup including IBM Storage Protect.

Administer and manage IBM Storage Protect backup infrastructure in a 24 x 7 support environment.

Design and implement backup and recovery strategies across servers, applications, and databases.

Perform upgrade/patch of IBM Storage Protect (ISP) servers and data movers.Perform ISP database maintenance activities as needed.Monitor backup jobs and troubleshoot failures or performance issues.

Manage and troubleshoot IBM Spectrum Protect vSphere Client plug-in.Perform regular testing and validation of backup and disaster recovery procedures.

Perform environment and backup health check on daily basis and update customer.Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and execution.Collaborate with infrastructure, database, and application teams to ensure backup compliance.

Ensure adherence to company data retention and security policies.Proactively identify and assess infrastructure risks that may impact service availability, performance, or compliance. Communicate identified risks, potential impacts, and mitigation strategies to customers and stakeholders in a timely manner.

Maintain and regularly update the risk register.Adhere to Incident, Change, and Problem Management processes.Maintain documentation of backup configurations, operational processes, and incident resolutions.Create SOP and SMTD documents related to backup operations and review on regular interval to maintain consistencies.

Provide knowledge transfer (KT) sessions for team members.

Support critical issues during on-call rotations.Possess good working knowledge of Windows, Linux, VMware, Networking, and Firewall technologies.
