ICC Master Special Inspector (MSI)

NOVA Engineering & Environmental is seeking an ICC certified Master Special Inspector in our Norcross or Kennesaw, GA office. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

Primary duties performing structural building inspections and QA/QC tests (masonry, reinforced concrete, structural steel, etc.). Some travel is required. The position will be predominately field located.

Responsibilities:

• Perform Inspections in accordance with code and project requirements
• Interpret project plans and specifications and ensure project requirements are being met.
• Activities will include performing field testing and inspections
• Review plans and specifications, performing the inspections accordingly
• Communicate results with contractors, engineers and others
• Input results and observations into daily reports

Requirements:

• 3+ years construction materials testing and special inspection experience required
• International Code Council (ICC) Certifications are required in the following areas: Soils, Structural Masonry, Reinforced Concrete, Welding, Steel and Bolting
• ICC Master of Special Inspections is highly preferred
• Proof of clean driving record
