Ice Cream Attendant

Job Overview

We are on the lookout for a friendly and energetic Ice Cream Attendant to join our vibrant team. In this role, you’ll be the face of our ice cream shop, creating a fun and welcoming environment for customers while serving up delicious treats. Your main focus will be providing excellent customer service, managing food and beverage orders, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings.
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare and serve ice cream, sundaes, floats, and other dessert items following health and safety standards.
• Handle cash register operations, process cash transactions, and give correct change while maintaining accuracy.
• Maintain a clean workspace by sanitizing equipment, cleaning counters, and ensuring food safety protocols are followed.
• Upsell additional toppings or specialty items to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
• Restock supplies regularly to ensure the shop is well-stocked with cones, cups, toppings, and other essentials.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or quick service restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with an approachable attitude.
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures.
• Experience working in retail sales or grocery stores is advantageous but not essential.

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 25.0 per week
