Handel's Ice Cream in Tucson is looking to add an ice cream maker to our current roster of great staff. We are looking for someone to fill two shifts per week which are 7-8 hour shifts. Applicants must be available for at least two day time shifts between the hours of 8:00 and 5:00.

Responsibilities:

Ice cream making is one of the pillars of what we do at Handel's. You will be responsible for creating the world class ice cream that we serve our customers every day.

Responsibilities include:

• Prepare a variety of ice cream flavors on a daily basis, ensuring consistency in taste and quality between batches.
• Follow precise instructions and recipes in making ice cream
• Analyze daily ice cream inventory and compare to min/max thresholds to determine what flavors and quantities need to be made each day
• Maintain a very high standard of daily cleanliness of machines and ice cream making area
• Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
• Assist other team members when help may be needed to serve customers during busy times
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals

What does it take to be successful at this position?

• This is a long term position which involves a couple of weeks of training. To be successful the candidate must be willing and able to learn and apply precise instructions
• Pay meticulous attentions to detail when following recipes
• Physically able to stand for 6/8 hours per day and lift up to 50lbs
• Be a team player who is willing to help out wherever needed
• Have a high level of responsibility and autonomy
• Thrive in, and be able to adapt to, a fast paced environment depending on daily demand
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency and commitment to meet production demands.
• Prior experience in food service industry is a plus but not required

Pay: $15.65 - $24.65 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 24.0 per week
