Ice Cream Server/Cashier

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings
• Prepare and serve ice cream, sundaes, floats, and other treats according to established recipes and quality standards
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently
• Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with precision
• Upsell additional items like toppings or specialty desserts to enhance customer experience and increase sales
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the serving area, including food prep stations, counters, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as scooping, portioning, and restocking supplies during busy periods
• Support team members with bussing tables, cleaning spills, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or quick service restaurants is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations
• Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing time effectively
• Experience in retail or grocery store environments is beneficial but not mandatory
• Kitchen or culinary experience can be an asset for food preparation tasks
