About this role

This role is key to supporting the delivery of service and support to our customers. The ICT support engineer diagnoses and resolves complex problems across hardware, software, networks, databases, operating systems and security. This role acts as an escalation point and documents and maintains support procedures and strategies.

This includes:

• Document and maintain support procedures and strategies for client systems, networks, operating systems and applications, and drive continuous process improvement.
• Provide expert remote and on-site support and assist in troubleshooting and resolving system problems for clients. Maintain ticket accuracy within expected timeframes.
• Be involved in recommending hardware and software strategies, upgrades and remediation to improve system performance, availability and security
• Proactively maintain systems infrastructure across network services, cloud services, servers and server technologies, including Microsoft 365, Exchange, OneDrive and SharePoint. Including the monitoring of critical events.
• Prepare technical documentation, user guides, knowledge base articles, reports and maintenance inventories in line with Viatek’s ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 practices.
• Train users and service desk staff, and provide technical guidance and advice on applications, systems and support procedures.

This is a full-time role based at our office at 3 Bruce Avenue, Marleston SA.

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone with a strong client focus, who is enthusiastic and has demonstrable technical ability with an associated degree or higher qualification (or at least 5 years relevant experience).

The successful candidate must have the ability to work within a team environment, great communication and relationship-building skills, along with strong time management skills.

Experience in either service desk or MSP environment with a focus on network services, cloud services, server and server technologies.Experience in O365, exchange, One drive, SharePoint would be an advantage.
