Monumental Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in providing exceptional care and assistance to individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism. We pecialize in bundling multiple services (such as Independent Living Support, Companionship, Respite, and Light Housekeeping). This unique approach allows us to offer our staff consistent, stable blocks of hours in a single home location rather than short, unpredictable shifts spread all over the county.

• Premium Hourly Pay: $19.50 – $21.50 / hour (Based on experience)

Job Locations & Service Areas: We are actively building our network and recruiting throughout Central and Southern Chester County. We match you with individuals close to your home base. Our primary service areas include:

• Southern Chester County: Kennett Square, Avondale, West Grove, and Oxford
• Central Chester County (Route 30 Corridor): West Chester, Downingtown, Exton, and Coatesville

Responsibilities

• Companionship & Socialization: Engage individuals in meaningful activities, hobbies, and conversational interaction to promote mental stimulation and reduce isolation.
• Community Outings: Accompany and transport the individual to community events, recreational activities, and appointments to foster social skills and independence.
• Light Housekeeping & Chore Services: Perform light housekeeping tasks, laundry, dusting, vacuuming, and maintaining clean, sanitary living spaces to ensure a safe, organized home environment.
• Meal Preparation: Assist with healthy meal planning, grocery shopping, cooking nutritious meals, and following safe food handling standards.
• Daily Support: Assist individuals with general daily activities, personal routine support, and achieving personal independence goals.
• Respite Care: Provide a safe, respectful environment during scheduled weekend or evening blocks to give primary family caregivers a well-deserved break.
• Electronic Time Tracking: Mandatory clock-in and clock-out at the point of care using our mobile app system to log daily visit times and locations in compliance with state program regulations. Maintain accurate, simple shift logs detailing daily activities.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a caregiver or companion working within home care, family homes, or community-based environments is highly preferred.
• Familiarity or experience supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Intellectual Disabilities, or Neurodevelopmental Disorders.
• Comfort utilizing smartphone apps for required daily time-tracking and state check-ins.
• Reliable transportation to travel to and within your matched Chester County service area for community outings.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record (if driving an individual is required by their specific care plan).
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is required (or willingness to complete it during your onboarding process).
• Strong communication and tracking skills for effectively interacting with individuals and their families.
• Ability to clear all standard Pennsylvania background checks (PA State Police Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Clearance, and FBI Fingerprinting).

Pay: $19.50 - $21.50 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 25.0 per week
