IE/Process improvement Engineer

About the role

This role involves factory layout planning, equipment arrangement, production line design, material flow route optimization and warehouse storage planning to support efficient and lean factory operation. You will establish and implement lean production systems, build and optimize production operation processes, conduct capacity evaluations, and design flexible production lines that respond to product and order changes.

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for factory layout planning, equipment arrangement, production line design, material flow route optimization and warehouse storage planning to support efficient and lean factory operation
• Establish and implement the lean production system, including 5S management, visual management, TPM and VSM value stream mapping, continuously standardize on-site production management
• Build and optimize production operation processes and working standards, support new line setup, new product ramp-up and production capacity climbing, and ensure stable and efficient mass production
• Conduct production capacity evaluation, cycle time analysis and line balance optimization, improve overall production line efficiency, output and productivity
• Design and optimize flexible production lines, adjust line configuration according to product and order changes, improve production flexibility and market response capability
• Identify production bottlenecks, launch continuous improvement projects, eliminate waste of manpower, time and logistics, and reduce production costs
• Cooperate with production, quality, equipment and engineering teams to support new project implementation, production line iteration and on-site process improvement

About you

• Bachelor degree or above in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or related majors
• Familiar with lean production system and tools (5S, Visual Management, TPM, VSM), with practical experience in on-site lean improvement
• Experienced in factory layout design, equipment layout, logistics route optimization, warehouse planning and production capacity ramp-up management
• Capable of flexible production line design, capacity assessment, standard operation formulation and production efficiency optimization
• Good data analysis, problem-solving and project promotion capabilities
• Fluent in Chinese or English for daily work communication and cross-team collaboration
• Manufacturing factory working experience is preferred
