This role is responsible for end-to-end academic planning, curriculum alignment, Cambridge exam administration, teacher mentorship, quality assurance, and building a bridge between students, parents, faculty, and CAIE authorities.

Key Responsibilities1. Curriculum Leadership & Academic Operations

  • Plan, schedule, and oversee the execution of the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum across all disciplines.
  • Design academic calendars, annual timetables, course pathways, subject selection guides, and assessment schemes aligned with Cambridge International guidelines.
  • Monitor syllabus completion, conduct periodic academic audits, and evaluate lesson plans and classroom teaching standards.
  • Guide students and parents through subject selection, university pre-requisites, and course choices.
  • Cambridge Examination Administration & Compliance
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the school and Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE).
  • Manage the complete examination lifecycle via Cambridge Direct: candidate registrations, entries, coursework/moderation submissions, forecast grades, and exam scheduling.
  • Coordinate with the Examination Officer to enforce security protocols, question paper custody, invigilation rosters, and conduct exams strictly per Cambridge administrative regulations.
  • Lead post-examination protocols, results release analysis, remarking requests (EAR), and official certificate dispatch.
  • Faculty Mentorship & Professional Development
  • Facilitate Cambridge Professional Development Qualifications (PDQs) and subject-specific Cambridge training workshops for faculty.
  • Conduct regular pedagogical observations, appraisals, and feedback sessions to maintain inquiry-based teaching methodologies.
  • Assist in hiring, onboarding, and training new international curriculum educators.
  • Assessment, Data Analytics & Student Performance
  • Design internal assessment structures (unit tests, quarterly exams, mock examinations) reflecting actual IGCSE standards.
  • Track individual student performance analytics, identify learning gaps, and coordinate remedial or enrichment programs.
  • Prepare and present cohort performance reports to school leadership and management.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Institutional Representation
  • Organize student-parent orientation sessions, academic workshops, and regular Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) explaining the nuances of the Cambridge pathway.
  • Address parental queries regarding grading scales, global recognition, and transition pathways (e.g., Cambridge A Levels, IB DP, or national boards).
  • Represent the school at regional Cambridge coordinator forums and professional development events in North India.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree in an academic subject (MA, MSc, or MCom) along with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or an international equivalent (PGCE, CIDTL preferred).

  • Experience:

  • Minimum 5–8 years of overall teaching experience in a recognized Cambridge International School.

  • Minimum 2–3 years in an academic leadership role (IGCSE Coordinator, Assistant Coordinator, or Cambridge Head of Department).

  • System Knowledge: Hands-on operational fluency with the Cambridge Direct / CIExams administrative portal.

  • Competencies:

  • Strong mastery of the IGCSE syllabus, grading matrix, coursework, and external exam guidelines.

  • Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills.

  • Demonstrated interpersonal, team management, and conflict-resolution capabilities.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience (aligned with premier international school standards in Jaipur).
  • Professional development sponsorships for CAIE seminars and certifications.
  • School transport / residential allowance (subject to school policy).
  • Health insurance and tuition fee concessions for dependent children (as per institutional norms).
