Role Description This part-time, on-site role is based in Mira Bhayandar and focuses on teaching IGCSE Physics to secondary school learners. The IGCSE Physics teacher will plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the IGCSE curriculum, ensuring clear coverage of core and extended topics. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching theoretical and practical concepts, conducting classroom activities and demonstrations, assigning and grading homework and assessments, and providing timely feedback to students. The teacher will monitor student progress, offer extra support where needed, and help learners prepare effectively for internal tests and IGCSE examinations. The role also involves maintaining classroom discipline, collaborating with school leadership on academic planning, and communicating with parents or guardians about student performance as required.

Qualifications

• Strong subject knowledge in Physics, specifically aligned with the IGCSE syllabus, and ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, age-appropriate manner.
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the secondary level, preferably in IGCSE or similar international curricula, with a track record of supporting exam success.
• Effective classroom management skills, including the ability to create an inclusive, respectful learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including clear spoken and written English and the ability to provide constructive academic feedback.
• Proficiency in using basic educational technology and digital resources to enhance lesson delivery and student engagement.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Physics, Science Education, or a closely related field; formal teacher training or certification is an advantage.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to plan lessons, assess student work, and meet academic deadlines in a part-time schedule.
