IGCSE Science Teacher

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, qualified, and dynamic IGCSE Science Teacher to join our academic team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, inquiry-based Science lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE framework. The ideal candidate will inspire curiosity, foster a deep understanding of scientific concepts, and prepare students for academic excellence and IGCSE examinations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare Scheme of Work, Lesson Plans, and teaching materials in accordance with the Cambridge syllabus
• Conduct engaging, interactive, and effective classroom lessons, including practical laboratory experiments and scientific investigations
• Ensure students are prepared for lessons, differentiate teaching methods for diverse learning needs, and maintain good classroom management
• Be punctual for all classes, foster a safe and respectful learning environment, and report any student discipline issues promptly
• Assign adequate classwork, homework, and practice exercises to reinforce learning
• Mark students' work, quizzes, and lab reports promptly, maintaining accurate records to monitor academic progress
• Prepare examination and assignment questions aligned with Cambridge standards
• Perform exam invigilation duties and analyze assessment data to provide constructive feedback to students
• Serve as Class Teacher when assigned and prepare comprehensive student progress reports
• Attend Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTM) and maintain open, professional communication with parents and guardians

About you

• Experience in teaching Primary Science / Lower Secondary Science / Upper Secondary IGCSE (Cambridge syllabus preferred)
• Strong practical skills in managing science laboratory sessions and lab safety protocols
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
• Passion for teaching with strong classroom management abilities
• Familiar with conducting online classes (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet) when required, and comfortable using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Canva, lesson-planning platforms)
