ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as the functional and solution advisor on student system engagements, from current-state assessment and requirements to target solution design.
• Advise on product and platform selection, including fit-gap assessments of packaged student systems, composable solutions and SaaS alternatives.
• Distinguish sector-standard practices, institution-specific needs and legacy workarounds that should not be carried forward.
• Shape integration and functional design across student, finance, human capital and identity systems.
• Advise on release sequencing and change timing around academic calendars, including registration, results release and graduation.
• Advise on target operating models and change management, including role redesign, adoption planning and responsibilities across central services and schools or faculties.
• Advise programme and project leadership on governance, delivery risks and mitigation, and review client-facing deliverables.
• Act as a trusted counterpart to client directors and academic leaders, building credibility for complex recommendations.
• Advise across the higher education portfolio, ensuring consistency and sharing lessons across engagements while maintaining confidentiality.
• Contribute to pursuits and proposals by shaping functional responses, validating scope, approach and estimates, and presenting domain expertise to clients.
• Develop practice assets, including capability and process reference models, requirement libraries, localised solution extensions and accelerated implementation templates for Singapore.
• Build team capability by mentoring practice leads, consultants and analysts in the education domain.

REQUIREMENTS

• At least 15 years of enterprise applications experience, with sustained specialisation in student management or information systems.
• Direct involvement in multiple higher education SIS implementations, upgrades or replacements in senior roles such as solution architect, functional lead, programme manager or change management lead. Multi-institution experience is key.
• Hands-on functional and solution design experience with a major SIS, such as PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, Workday Student, Ellucian or equivalent, including configuration, extensions and integrations.
• Working knowledge of Singapore higher education institutions, governance and statutory and sector reporting obligations.
• Ability to engage senior stakeholders, chair workshops and contribute to steering forums with directors and academic leaders.
• Consulting, systems integrator or software vendor experience, delivering against defined milestones, deliverables and acceptance criteria.
• Ability to write and review functional and solution documentation to meet client sign-off standards.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional standing.
