IKEA Handyman/Assembler

STRICTLY EXPERIENCED IKEA ASSEMBLERS ONLY – NO TRAINING PROVIDED

We are currently seeking reliable and detail-oriented IKEA Assemblers to join our growing team.

1. Experience (must meet at least one)

• Minimum 1+ years assembling flat-pack furniture professionally, OR
• Assembled (wardrobes, beds, cabinets, etc.)

2. Tools & Equipment

• Comfortable with wall-anchoring/mounting heavy items (wardrobes, shelving, TVs)

3. Reliability & Logistics

• Has own vehicle and valid driver's licence
• Can commit to a defined service area
• Available for flexible/short-notice bookings

4. Client-Facing Track Record

• Minimum review count threshold (e.g. 5+ completed jobs with feedback)
• Can provide 2–3 references from past clients
• No history of complaints regarding no-shows, damage, or unprofessional conduct

5. Communication & Professionalism

• Comfortable using smartphone apps for scheduling/communication
• Responds to client messages promptly and professionally
• Demonstrates clear communication in their application (pitch/cover note quality)

6. Documentation

• Valid ABN (for contractor engagement)
• Resume/CV uploaded

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble IKEA furniture including beds, wardrobes, tables, chairs, shelving units, and other household items
• Follow assembly instructions accurately and efficiently
• Provide professional customer service during onsite jobs
• Safely use and maintain assembly tools and equipment
• Report any damages, missing parts, or concerns to management
