Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 base salary, depending on experience, plus bonus and excellent benefits
We’re working with a growing medical technology company looking to add an experienced Field Service Engineer to its California team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer from a medical imaging or other complex medical equipment background to move into a highly technical role with extensive manufacturer training, strong earning potential and an excellent benefits package.
You do not need previous experience with the company’s specific equipment. Full product training and certification will be provided.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and technical support of sophisticated medical systems across Northern California, working with a combination of electrical, mechanical, electronic, software and networking technologies.
Responsibilities will include:
- Installation, preventative maintenance and repair
- Electrical, electronic and mechanical troubleshooting
- Software, networking and connectivity fault finding
- Working closely with clinical and technical teams at customer sites
- Completing comprehensive manufacturer training and certification
- Supporting the wider US Field Service team when required
This is a Monday - Friday position with a high degree of autonomy in the field.
There will be significant travel during the initial three-to-six-month training period as you work alongside experienced engineers across the US. Some service activity also takes place during second- and third-shift hours, so flexibility around working hours is important.
What We’re Looking For
We’re particularly interested in experienced Field Service Engineers from backgrounds such as:
- CT, MRI, X-ray, or Nuclear Medicine
- Radiation Oncology / LINAC
- Multimodality imaging
- Other complex electromechanical medical equipment
You’ll ideally have strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, combined with an understanding of computer hardware, software, and basic networking.
Previous Field Service experience would be highly advantageous.
Package
The package includes a $120,000 - $150,000 base salary, depending on experience, plus:
- Target performance bonus
- Excellent medical benefits
- 401(k) with company match
- Generous PTO and separate sick leave
- All business travel fully covered
- Company credit card
- Company phone and laptop
- Extensive technical training and ongoing development
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing medical technology business where you’ll receive significant investment in your technical development and work with advanced equipment in a highly specialised environment.
