The Role:

Due to continued growth and client demand, we are seeking an Immigration Coordinator to join our leading national Immigration Law team practice.

Based out of either our Christchurch or Auckland offices, you'll work alongside some of New Zealand's leading immigration specialists, supporting high-calibre domestic and international clients. Every day, our team helps businesses attract and retain global talent, supports migrant families building new lives in New Zealand, and contributes to the country's economic growth and success.

Working closely with our lawyers and legal support

Key duties will include:

  • Opening, onboarding, and maintaining client files, including AML compliance;
  • Preparing immigration application forms and supporting documentation;
  • Compiling, reviewing, and uploading visa application materials;
  • Monitoring visa expiry dates, application milestones, and critical deadlines;
  • Managing correspondence with clients, employers, and government agencies;
  • Liaising with Immigration New Zealand and other key stakeholders as required;
  • Providing regular updates to clients on the progress of their applications;
  • Assisting with document preparation, formatting, and record management;
  • Supporting the team with administrative and coordination tasks across multiple matters; and
  • Contributing to process improvements and supporting team initiatives and precedents.

About You:

This is a full-time role suited to experienced immigration professionals looking to take the next step in their career with one of New Zealand's leading national immigration teams. As a highly organised and detail-oriented coordinator, you will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be passionate about delivering exceptional client service.

You'll be eager to learn, hardworking and proactive in your approach, and bring at least two years' experience in an immigration-focused role. You will have a strong understanding of immigration processes, be comfortable working within established policies and procedures, and enjoy collaborating with colleagues while maintaining high levels of communication with clients and stakeholders.

Successful candidates will already be skilled in operating across the Microsoft 365 suite, with particular competency in Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese will be highly advantageous.
