What they need

Remote Work Opportunity: Grow Your Career from Home at PeopleBlue Virtual Assistants. We connect top Latin American talent with high-growth companies in the United States. We offer more than just a position; we provide a space where your personal, professional, and economic development truly matters. Whether you are looking for part-time or full-time roles, we have a place for you.

Role Overview

As a Bilingual Immigration Legal Assistant, you’ll support attorneys and clients throughout the immigration process—gathering and organizing evidence, completing forms, and compiling case files into polished, paginated PDFs with detailed tables of contents. You’ll serve as the bridge between clients and attorneys, following up proactively to make sure every document arrives on time. This detail-driven, full-time role requires strong bilingual communication, excellent organization, and a genuine commitment to supporting immigrants’ rights in the United States.

Job Description:

  • Vidence Requests: Receive evidence lists from the assigned legal team, create corresponding lists in Spanish, and request the necessary documents from clients via phone, text, and email.
  • Client Follow-Up: Maintain regular, proactive follow-up with clients until all required evidence is received, keeping their contact information current and accurate.
  • Form Completion & Data Accuracy: Complete immigration forms and review the imported data against client-provided information to ensure complete accuracy.
  • Evidence Compilation: Organize evidence into case-specific categories such as biographic information, proof of residence, and proof of tax payment.
  • PDF Preparation: Create section inserts, compile all documents, and paginate the final case PDF.
  • Table of Contents Creation: Develop detailed tables of contents listing each piece of evidence and its corresponding page numbers by category.
  • Drafting & Revisions: Draft documents with minimal errors and promptly implement attorney edits toward a final version.
  • Records Maintenance: Keep case records and documentation updated and organized within systems such as SharePoint, INSZoom, or Docketwise.

Requirements:

  • Legal Experience (Mandatory): 1+ year of experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal, with a minimum tenure of 10–12 months in each previous position.
  • Bilingual Proficiency: Fluent in both English and Spanish, with strong written and verbal communication skills (English proficiency at a minimum C1 level).
  • Document & PDF Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat, including compiling, paginating, and organizing PDF files.
  • Strong Attention to Detail: Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Client Communication: Positive, welcoming, and professional demeanor, with excellent customer service tone and etiquette across phone, text, and email.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Google Docs. Experience with INSZoom, Docketwise, or other case management software is a plus. Working with AI tools is also a plus.
  • Availability: Full-time (40 hours/week), Monday through Friday, with an assigned 8-hour schedule between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. EST. A reliable internet connection is required.
  • Mission Alignment: Passionate about supporting immigrants’ rights in the United States.

Remote Work Requirements

  • Private, noise-free workspace (mandatory for confidential client calls)
  • Internet speed: 25–50 Mbps
  • Computer: Windows 10+ or updated macOS
  • Minimum 8 GB RAM
  • USB noise-canceling headset
