About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Immigration Paralegal to join a growing immigration law practice in Dalton, Georgia. The ideal candidates will have hands-on experience supporting attorneys with immigration court proceedings, removal defense, case preparation, and legal filings.

Candidates with strong experience in EOIR proceedings, removal defense, and asylum cases are highly encouraged to apply. Spanish proficiency is a strong plus, particularly for communicating with clients and assisting with document collection.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file immigration court documents through EOIR and ECAS.
• Support attorneys with removal defense, asylum applications, bond motions, and detained client matters.
• Assist with 42B Cancellation of Removal cases.
• Prepare motions to reopen, terminate, continue, change venue, and substitute counsel.
• Assist with Master Calendar Hearings and Individual Hearing preparation.
• Communicate with clients, collect supporting documentation, and maintain accurate case records.
• Support USCIS family-based and humanitarian immigration filings.
• Track court deadlines, manage case calendars, and ensure timely submission of legal documents.
• Coordinate with attorneys and legal staff to keep cases organized and moving forward.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as an Immigration Paralegal or in a similar immigration legal support role.
• Strong knowledge of immigration court procedures and removal defense.
• Experience with EOIR and ECAS filings.
• Familiarity with asylum, bond motions, detained cases, and Cancellation of Removal under INA § 42B.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly when managing court deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Spanish proficiency is highly preferred.
• Ability to work onsite in Dalton, Georgia.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience handling removal defense cases, preparing immigration court motions, supporting hearing preparation, and working directly with detained or vulnerable clients will be especially well-suited for this opportunity.

Candidates whose experience is limited to business immigration should apply only if they also have substantial immigration court or removal defense experience.
